Overview:

Duties:
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable terms, overseeing a team of 4 and championing procurement processes. You will oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels (£17m stock budget) while maintaining cost control. Collaborating closely with the broader business and SLT, you will develop strategies to enhance purchasing performance and vendor relationships.
Experience:
We are seeking candidates with a proven track record in procurement management, particularly people management and within manufacturing / engineering. Experience in negotiating contracts, working with ERP systems and Excel to an advanced level is essential The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in analyzing data to drive strategic purchasing decisions and possess strong communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
