Job Title: Management Accountant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Halifax

Job Type:

Permanent, expected to work full-time hours

Salary:

£50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Qualifications:

Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA, however, we still want to hear from those who are qualified by experience!

Job Duties:

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management on areas for improvement
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support business decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with auditors during the audit process
  • Monitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted financial results
  • Provide financial analysis and support for strategic projects and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards

Required Qualifications:

- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification - Previous experience in a similar management accounting role - Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel - Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in management accounting

Knowledge and Skills:

- In-depth understanding of financial principles and practises - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Time management and prioritisation skills - Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

- Postgraduate qualification in Accounting or Finance
