My client is a blue chip FMCG and retail brand that serve millions of customers every week from all over the globe. With over 6,000 stores internationally my client is a well-known household name that offer several exciting opportunities.

About the Role:

Cyber Connect is our new process to streamline all cyber security requests to software engineers. It helps engineers focus on one task at a time, reducing confusion and noise.

Why is it important?

We realised our previous approach caused a lot of confusion. Cyber connect aims to:

  • Enable planning for the right support and resources.
  • Synchronise requests to avoid overloading teams.
  • Use trusted Security Partners to guide and support teams.

What role do they play?

Within Security Engagement & Culture, the roles will oversee the delivery and success of Cyber Connect. This means being the team that engages with initiative owners to help them form their plan, complete documentation, get the most out of meetings and manage information appropriately as the process leads them from kick off to delivery and closure. This will involve engaging with many stakeholders across diverse teams to ensure the process is a success. This process is also very new, so we expect there to be a drive for continuous improvement. It's vital that it succeeds so that we can better protect our colleagues and customers.

As the Process Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing project processes and ensuring seamless operations. Your responsibilities will include managing a team, handling stakeholder expectations, and serving as the subject matter expert on the overall process. With your skills in people and project management, stakeholder management, planning, and cyber security, you will drive efficiency and effectiveness in our client's organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project processes from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage a team, providing guidance and support to optimise their performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, aligning expectations and ensuring smooth communication.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the overall process, offering valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct thorough planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure successful project completion.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in people management and project management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Expertise in planning SME end-to-end processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Knowledge of cyber security best practises, ensuring data privacy and protection.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a knack for motivating and inspiring your team.
