This organisation is a manufacturing business based in Preston with a current turnover of sub £4million and employees exceeding 15+ years' service. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time and permanent basis.
Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the accounts department on a day-to-day basis. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using Sage and other software, recording day-to-day financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, ledgers, and accounts, and preparing financial reports. You will also be involved in some general office administration as part of your daily duties.What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to be enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated, and driven, with excellent relationship-building skills. You must be able to communicate clearly with the rest of the team and have a willing, can-do attitude. A thirst for accurate, meaningful data is essential! You will need to have excellent Microsoft Excel skills and be experienced at using Sage software. An understanding of the construction industry is also beneficial, but not essential. You should have an AAT qualification or equivalent certificate in accounting and at least 3 years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.What you'll get in return
