Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing engineering business in Birkenhead who are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager on an initial 6-month temp-to-perm contract.
Based in Birkenhead, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive Finance Manager looking to join a dynamic team with potential for a permanent position.
Salary/Benefits:
- Full office-based role
- Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Early finish on Fridays at 2:00 PM
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
Job Duties:
- Oversee financial and non-financial data related to group consolidation for internal and external reporting.
- Coordinate balance sheet reconciliations and resolve disputes.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Produce quarterly and full-year accounts.
- Create and maintain detailed mappings from the department's general ledger.
- Ensure Open Accounts hierarchies accurately reflect the structure and reporting requirements.
- Lead on the implementation of new Finance System
- Produce Monthly Management Accounts for the entity.
- Oversee office and finance staff (team of 4)
- Manage data and supply to Group.
- Build strong working relationships at all levels with keen attention to detail.

- *Ideal Experience:**
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
- Recent significant experience in accounts production
- Knowledge of VAT and other tax is desirable
- Proficient in IT systems and accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to understand, analyze, and summarize complex accounting information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
- Business partnering experience is desirable
