Our leading Financial Services client is looking for highly skilled Project Manager to join their Edinburgh team for a 6 months initial contract.

Key Responsibilites

K2 project

The programme will be structured across two main areas in 2024

  1. Foundational Data Diagnostic & Evolution - documenting the required foundational data needed to build out an effective strategic workforce plan, including identifying breaks and gaps in existing processes and agreeing a plan of action to remediate.
  2. Strategic Workforce Planning Framework -designing and developing a framework for SWP, including a decision around technology, resources, investment, timescales and priorities to scale across the organization.

Scope

Foundational Data Scope will cover the following 4 areas:
1. Total Workforce Visibility -
i) Define what we mean by 'Total Workforce'
ii) Decide on an approach to integrate legacy iii) Clear total workforce principles & definitions in place to support and inform future M&A decisions and due diligence
2. Depth of workforce insights -
i) Reviewing & Defining evolution of existing job and role data
ii) Defining approach to skills taxonomy across the organisation
iii) Defining the contingent & contractor data requirements
3. Data Integrity & alignment -
i) Drive alignment between Finance chart of account & HR org structure L4
ii) Assess and prioritise other key people data integrity challenges/gaps and define alignment for (a) delivery via other programmes, (b) potential quick wins delivered via the project (c) defining requirements for wider/longer term delivery via business case, alongside ensure we have process and frameworks in place to maintain them going forwards.
4. Clear roles and responsibilities (cross functional) to ensure on-going sustainable maintenance & integrity of our foundational data

Strategic Workforce Planning 1. Skills Framework -
i) Agree on scope between SWP & Talent & Capabilities with clear understanding of roles and responsibilities and interdependencies
ii) Explore options and selection for current workforce skills analysis
iii) Build out plan to deploy and establish initial baseline
iv) gather requirements for future workforce skill taxonomy
2. SWP Methodology -
i) Consider best approach for the development of core methodology,
ii) identify appropriate SWP technology needs
iii) gather business requirements for SWP in prioritised key areas i) produce proposed methodology narrative and overview for business engagement
3. Approach -
i) prepare socialization and groundwork for proposed methodology and framework
ii) identify 2 business areas
iii) produce plan to create a cleansed current workforce baseline
iv) Run pilots to validate data & processes in place, and test SWP methodology
