Their staff are highly motivated and hungry to bring success to their clients in every transaction. Due to growth of the Technical Teams, a permanent job for a Marine Technician has arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as a Marine Technician will require you to provide technical and administrative support for Brokers and Directors. Duties will include carrying out copying and binding tasks accurately and efficiently, creating and maintaining files, carrying out basic word and excel duties, inputting document details on the in-house systems. Further duties will include assisting the team with credit control and any general admin tasks, as well as developing and managing relationships with market representatives, processing and monitoring incoming posts, assisting with producing and sending client/market documentation and renewal reminders. Other duties include maintaining and enhancing knowledge of the insurance marketplace, trends and cycles, adhering to company policies and procedures as well as mandatory training requirements, and adhering to financial reporting requirements including monthly phasing of income.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience as a Marine Technician will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have previous experience in an office environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, the ability to effectively contribute to the team and interact with others, an ability to communicate clearly and effectively, the ability to use your own initiative to work out any problems which may arise. You will also be able to perform effectively to tight deadlines with good personal organisation and time management skills, have a professional attitude to work, be punctual and conscientious and show enthusiasm.
