SEN Teacher- Exceptional provision with beautiful facilities

Salary: M1-M6
Contract: Full time Term Time Only
Working Hours: 34 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time (43.3 weeks per annum),

SEN Teacher required to join an incredible and thriving provision. This is a very rare opportunity to join a thriving and person centred school.

We have an exceptional client based near Hoddesdon who caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties aged between 2 and 19 years who may have singular or multiple difficulties, including challenging behaviour and complex needs. The school enjoys a very good relationship with parents, families, associated professionals and the local community. The school also enjoys an excellent range of resources and provision, making learning possible and education fun.

Duties to include:

-To contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
-To work collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
-To maintain and use short-, medium- and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
-To set, monitor and review personalised targets that will optimise learning for each individual.
-To monitor, assess, review and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination and funding bodies through reports and identified meetings as directed and as is required through school policies and procedures.
-To maintain knowledge through training and research where appropriate and take responsibility for own professional development.
-To develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.

Experience /Qualifications:

Ideally QTS or QTLS however we will consider candidates with Level 4/5 teaching qualifications
Experience of teaching SEN
A passion for SEN / SEMH
