We are looking for a solicitor with 2-5 years of PQE in the area of digital regulation, with a particular focus on data protection, privacy, and AI regulations within the EU and UK frameworks. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, including multinational corporations, technology companies, and financial institutions, providing them with expert legal advice on a range of data protection, cybersecurity, and privacy issues.

Joining the Cyber and Data team means becoming part of a dynamic group of legal professionals within the Technology, Intellectual Property, and Information department. There is a strong focus on non-contentious work, including advisory services, contract negotiations, and strategic counsel. The team is deeply embedded in its clients' industries, helping them navigate the complexities of global privacy projects and compliance with evolving regulations.

The work is predominantly non-contentious, focusing on providing strategic advice, drafting contracts, and ensuring clients' compliance with data protection laws, AI regulations, and cybersecurity standards. Ideal Candidate:

  • 2-5 years PQE solicitor with a minimum of two years in data protection, cybersecurity law, or a related commercial technology field. Experience with GDPR, the EU AI Act, and advising on GDPR-related contracts is essential.
  • A strong understanding of both national and international data protection legislation is crucial, along with experience in cross-border data transfer issues.
  • You should possess excellent analytical abilities to navigate complex legal frameworks and provide clear, actionable advice to clients.
  • The role involves significant client contact, so excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are required.
