The role of the Investment Manager would be to manage and optimize the monetization of development projects that get to RtB. This would include developing strategies for the sale, construction, or financing of projects or critical milestones, such as reaching COD or arranging sales of project rights.

In order to do well at this job the right candidate should have a very deep understanding of project finance, asset monetization, and project valuation.

This company specialize in the development of both TCPA, and DCO level solar/BESS projects and between them have over 150 years' worth of experience.

They are a small-size team which a close-knit culture not looking to grow rapidly so that all their employees get full visibility across the business.

What would your role look like?:

  • Project Monetization Strategy:

Design and implement strategies to maximize the monetization of development projects when they reach the RTB stage. This could include options like building and selling at COD, or selling project rights with debt financing and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) agreements in place.

  • Investment Structuring & Execution:

Lead the structuring and execution of project finance transactions, including securing debt, negotiating EPC contracts, and optimizing returns through strategic asset sales or retention.

  • Project Financial Analysis:

Continually conducting in-depth financial analysis of development projects to assess viability, profitability, and risks at various stages of development. Provide recommendations on whether to continue, sell, or modify project development based on financial metrics.

  • Risk Management:

Identify and manage risks related to the monetization of development projects, including market risks, construction risks, and financial risks. Implement risk mitigation strategies to protect both the project and investors.

  • Market Research & Analysis:

Continuously monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and economic conditions to inform project decisions and identify opportunities for asset monetization. Provide insights on market demand, investor appetite, and competitive positioning of projects.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, corporate finance advisors and EPC contractors.

  • Transaction Management:

Lead the negotiation and execution of transactions involving the sale of project rights, asset sales at COD, or other exit strategies. Ensure transactions are structured to optimize financial outcomes for the organization or clients.

  • Collaboration with Development Teams:

Work closely with internal project development teams to ensure projects are developed to reflect the changing economic environment. Ensuring that financial, technical, and market considerations are integrated into decision-making.
