Fixed term SEMH Newly Qualified Teacher / Early Careers Teacher

Are you a newly qualified/early careers teacher looking for experience teaching within an SEN school?

Are you a passionate and dedicated educator ready to make a difference? Do you have a heart for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Position: Early Careers SEMH Teacher

Contract: 1 year fixed term, covering maternity leave

Full time, September start (or earlier if possible)

You will be based within a small SEMH primary school, who are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. Their dedicated team works collaboratively to support students with SEMH needs, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. They believe in the power of education to transform lives and are looking for a like-minded individual to join our team.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Engage and Inspire: Develop and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH requirements.
  • Support and Nurture: Provide a supportive and safe learning environment, fostering positive relationships and promoting emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff, therapists, and parents, to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
  • Innovate and Adapt: Use innovative teaching methods and adapt strategies to address the diverse needs of our students, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Reflect and Grow: Participate in ongoing professional development and reflective practices to continuously improve your teaching skills and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible and resilient approach, with the ability to adapt to the unique challenges of SEMH education.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
