Part-time Management Accountant

Posted by Reed.

Reed Finance are partnered with a Didcot-based automotive company to recruit a part-time management accountant, on a perm basis, into their small and friendly team. This is a newly created role to support a senior accountant and will be 25 hours per week that can be worked flexibly across the working week (expectation is one day per week in the office). This role sits within a small business that is part of a large multinational Group company and so will have various touchpoints across the wider Group both in the UK and overseas. You will be working closely with the main HO Finance team in the north of England as well as in mainland Europe, reporting into the senior accountant with a dotted line to the FC in the UK HO.

The role will be a combination of usual monthly schedules (management accounts, P&L, variance analysis, commentary, fixed assets, statutory reporting, audit liaison) but also more transactional duties including expenses, invoicing, and appropriate ad hoc. Therefore, you will thrive in a collaborative environment but be keen to take ownership with the ability to work autonomously. You will perhaps have come from a similar or standalone role, used to working on a number of different things at the same time, and used to managing multiple tight deadlines.

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), be comfortable with a very broad remit, and used to getting stuck in at all levels. You will value a collaborative working environment but be able to work independently in a very fast-paced environment. You will be comfortable will all aspects of management and financial accounting upon a solid foundation of transactional accounting skills.

Salary offered is circa £50k FTE with good benefits, pleasant office facilities, and a warm and supportive working environment.
