Morson Talent are working with a client within the Risk Management sector who are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to lead their Contact Centre Sales Team in Cardiff. If you're someone who loves people development, has a solid understanding of sales methodology and wants to join a business with ambitious growth goals that achieves year on year double digit growth - then this might be the role for you!

As a Sales Manager, you'll manage, coach and develop a phone based new business team to ensure monthly targets are achieved and exceeded. You'll develop a thorough understanding of the product proposition and the market and need it fulfils.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of Business Development Executives - developing skills via training and coaching, managing performance and conducting regular reviews, monitor and reporting KPIs.
  • Accountable for achieving the new business sales revenue - ensuring achievement of volume KPIs in line with budget and targets, adopting sales methodology to support this. Also working with marketing and the wider business to drive initiatives to improve lead generation.
  • Managing team and performance data - analysing data held in Microsoft Dynamics with the aim to identify trends, improve forecasting and measure team performance, providing in month forecasting for new business and future forecast insight.
  • Continuous improvement - deliver important initiatives to drive incremental volume, value and conversion rate improvements, ensure efficiencies are achieved and to maximise conversion rate performance.

What you'll need to be successful

You'll have experience of phone-based new business sales team management and will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and how you have coached and developed individuals to achieve sales targets.

Setting and working to targets won't be new for you, and you'll have an existing toolbox which will enable you to get the most of your team**.** Prior experience of delivering training across areas such as negotiation and objection handling are key, as well as the ability to conduct 121s, manage performance and day to day coaching.

You'll also have a keen eye for detail and will demonstrate how you have applied insight to drive performance and improvement initiatives in a new business setting.
