Senior Risk Analyst - European Energy Trading Portfolio
Location: London
I am seeking an experienced risk professional to join my client's team and help to optimise their European energy trading portfolio. You will be involved identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various energy commodities, while providing critical insights and analysis to senior management.
As a key member of their team, you will work closely with traders and analysts to monitor market conditions, evaluate trading strategies, and proactively manage risk exposures. You will be responsible for delivering concise, impactful reports on potential risks, escalating urgent issues, and contributing to the evaluation of new business ventures.
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in energy trading or risk management, with deep knowledge of European power, gas, LNG, and LPG markets. Familiarity with complex products and risk measurement techniques is essential. You should possess excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. Experience with Excel and VBA is highly desired.
