We are currently looking for a Trainee Tailor and Shop Assistant to join our busy tailor's shop in CTC Lympstone. This is a full-time position, and the successful applicant will be expected to work Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
The ideal candidate must have experience in industrial sewing, and be able to work well under pressure. Knowledge of military, naval, or marine uniform is an advantage, but not required, as full training will be provided.
As a Tailor and Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the shop is well-stocked and presented at all times. You will also be responsible for carrying out tailoring and alteration work, ensuring that all items are finished to a high standard within the time frame expected.
There will be a 3-month probationary period into a full time contract. The successful candidate will be entitled to 20 days' holiday annually and bank holidays off. We also offer a company pension scheme.
The salary for this position starts at £12.00 per hour, depending on experience.
