Manufacturing Futures have been assigned to recruit a Production Manager for a furniture manufacturer located in Huddersfield. The successful Production Manager will be heading up the production facility to ensure a smooth process of the production is kept. A good understanding of lean manufacturing coupled with a firm, but fair management style is essential within this role. - Looking after a production site and responsible for over 70 employees setting and adhering to KPIs
- Implementing new lean methods to increase efficiencies, reduce waste and create a positive culture
- Liaising with other production sites and the Directors to ensure a smooth running of the entire production process
- Manage employees with a firm but fair attitude to ensure a positive culture throughout
- Experience working for a fast paced manufacturer is essential
- A thorough understanding of lean manufacturing including Continuous Improvement, Kaizan, Kanban, 5s, etc
- The ability to look after a large team within a manufacturing site as the Production Manager
- Decisive, ambitious and motivated are all characteristics for the successful Production Manager
