A Lloyd's syndicate & company platform with a large book of upstream business is looking to hire an additional Underwriter to the team. The book is looking to grow significantly in the coming years and it already benefits from having a large line size and the ability to lead business when required. The book also sits with a dedicated energy transition team and Underwriters will get exposure to renewable energy and conventional power. The team is quite small considering the size of the book and whilst assistant underwriters work in the team, there is some administration tasks such as looking at rate movements and pricing models from prior years. The book is circa 33% US focused and geared toward oil & gas, midstream, power and renewables. Candidates from broking will be considered if they have energy experience.
