Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and development of pupils with Autism and other special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils, ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages pupil participation and independence.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children and young people with Autism is essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Child and Adult DBS certificate.
