Monday - Friday days - finish at 1pm on Fridays!

Our client is a leading engineering firm, and are looking for a Production Operative to join their team in Weymouth. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and building various engineering products. As well as mechanical assembly and hand fit assembly, you will also be involved in wiring and cable assembly. You will be a key player in ensuring that our products are prepared and built to meet our customer's exact specifications.
Your main duties will include:
- Mechanical assembly: Using hand and power tools to assemble components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Hand fit assembly: Fitting and assembling components to ensure they meet the required tolerances.
- Wiring and cable assembly: Following wiring diagrams and instructions to complete accurate and efficient wiring and cable assemblies.
- Component preparation: Preparing components for assembly, including drilling, tapping, gluing, and deburring.
- Self inspection: Conducting your own quality checks to ensure that assemblies meet the required specifications and standards.
- Building product to customer specification: Building products according to customer orders and specifications.
This is a hands-on role that requires physical dexterity and the ability to work with hand and power tools. You should also have good time management skills and be able to work within tight deadlines.
