Design & Development Engineer

As a Design & Development Engineer, and a member of the Engineering team, your role involves several key responsibilities:

1. New Product Introductions (NPI): You will be involved in the process of introducing new products, ensuring that all aspects of design, development, testing, and production are carried out smoothly and efficiently.

2. Handover to Manufacturing: After the product development phase, you will oversee the transition of the product to the manufacturing phase, ensuring that all necessary documentation, processes, and resources are in place for successful production.

3. Patterning and Development of Interior Trimmed Products: You will be responsible for the patterning and development of interior trimmed products, ensuring that they meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

4. Customer Requirements: Your role involves understanding and fulfilling customer requirements, ensuring that products meet or exceed their expectations in terms of design, functionality, and quality.

5. Maintaining Quality Standards: You will work to maintain high-quality standards throughout the production process, implementing quality control measures and addressing any issues that may arise to ensure that finished products meet quality requirements.

6. Hands-On Role: This position requires hands-on involvement, particularly in sewing and assembly processes. Sewing experience is ideally required to efficiently create master samples and trimmed assembly/seat covers.

7. Self-Sufficiency: You will be expected to work independently and be self-sufficient in performing tasks related to sample making, assembly, and trimming. This includes being able to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise during the production process.

Overall, your role is essential in ensuring the successful introduction and production of new interior trimmed products, meeting customer expectations and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the process.
