Are you passionate about sports and dedicated to promoting physical education in young children? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports Coach/PE Specialist to join our team and deliver high-quality PE lessons to pupils with additional needs in schools. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and motivate students to develop a love for sports, enhance their physical skills, and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, and deliver engaging, suitable PE lessons for young people aged 5-16 years.
  • Teach a range of sports and activities, ensuring inclusivity and catering to various skill levels.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
  • Deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and educational objectives.
  • Monitor and review students' progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Promote the importance of regular physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with primary school children, delivering PE lessons, or coaching sports teams.
  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of sports, including but not limited to football, basketball, athletics, gymnastics, and swimming.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to accommodate diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A positive and encouraging approach to teaching, promoting self-confidence and self-esteem.
  • Organizational skills to plan and manage schedules, equipment, and resources effectively.
  • Understanding of child safeguarding and the ability to create a safe and inclusive environment.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position, term-time only.

The successful candidate may be required to travel to different locations within the local area.

A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is preferred.

Safeguarding training and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.
