We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports Coach/PE Specialist to join our team and deliver high-quality PE lessons to pupils with additional needs in schools. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, and deliver engaging, suitable PE lessons for young people aged 5-16 years.
- Teach a range of sports and activities, ensuring inclusivity and catering to various skill levels.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and educational objectives.
- Monitor and review students' progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for improvement.
- Promote the importance of regular physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field.
- Experience working with primary school children, delivering PE lessons, or coaching sports teams.
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of sports, including but not limited to football, basketball, athletics, gymnastics, and swimming.
- Ability to adapt lessons to accommodate diverse student needs and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A positive and encouraging approach to teaching, promoting self-confidence and self-esteem.
- Organizational skills to plan and manage schedules, equipment, and resources effectively.
- Understanding of child safeguarding and the ability to create a safe and inclusive environment.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time position, term-time only.
The successful candidate may be required to travel to different locations within the local area.
A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is preferred.
Safeguarding training and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.
