We are currently with a number of schools who require kitchen porters to assist them on a temporary basis.
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Kitchen Porters are responsible for cleaning and sterilizing various areas within the kitchen, including countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, and sinks. Ensuring a hygienic environment is crucial.
- Dishwashing: They collect and wash cutlery, cookware, pots, pans, and other utensils. Keeping the kitchenware clean and ready for use is essential.
- Food Preparation Support: While not directly involved in complex food preparation, Kitchen Porters assist with basic tasks. This includes cutting ingredients, peeling, and washing food items. They also support Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.
- Organizing Deliveries: Kitchen Porters receive deliveries and organize them in the kitchen. This involves handling supplies, equipment, and food items.
- Overall Kitchen Cleanliness: After the kitchen closes, Kitchen Porters ensure that the entire kitchen is clean and ready for the next day. This includes work surfaces, walls, and floors.
We would require a DBS to be completed prior to starting a booking.
